This great room is centered conveniently around a beautiful stone gas fireplace and big screen TV. Adjacent to the living area is also a separate card table just ready to see who can complete that 1000-piece puzzle or any of the onsite games available. Still working from vacay? Plug in at your own workspace complete with standalone monitor and get back to the grind if just for a minute. The kitchen space is a cook’s dream with plenty of space to create everyone’s next best meal or whip up a short order from the crowd.
This property’s large deck offers a great place to relax with comfortable seating around glowing fire tables while waiting for dinner to cook on the gas grill. Hot summer days? You’ll have plenty of tall tales to tell after playing in the creek or catching this trip’s biggest fish (catch and release only!) as everyone gathers around the outdoor fire pit.
Just steps away and past the laundry room is the primary king bedroom and bathroom ensuite. A treadmill is available for use in the laundry room as well. And for those with kids in your group, the king bedroom closet has a bedside crib, baby gates, monitors, jogging stroller, swimmies, hiking pack and all things you need for a great outdoor kid experience.
Upstairs a bunk room provides plenty of space for the kids with one set of twin bunks and one trundle underneath. An additional queen size bedroom is also located there. A guest bath with tub shower combo is located between.
This beautiful home comes equipped with central heat and A/C, high speed Spectrum internet, Wi-Fi, Smart TVs in the master bedroom and living space with streaming cable, and gas grill.
Please note this property is not pet friendly. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. The approach to this property is fully paved to a short gravel road that leads down as short steeper descent to the home. All-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive would be required to access this home during snow or ice events. Snow tires and chains as well would be required in winter driving conditions. Of note, Fie Top Road is one of the best maintained roads in the county during winter driving events in order to allow skiers access to the ski area at top of the mountain.
Just a few minutes from Red Deer Lodge is the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area and Tube World (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel’s “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. Less than 15 minutes away in Waynesville you will find Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart, and various restaurants. Just a few minutes further is Main Street where there are quaint restaurants, shops and breweries.
15 minutes from the property is the Blue Ridge Parkway where you can drive to several waterfalls including Soco Falls and see spectacular mountain views all in and around the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee (gamble or enjoy dinner) is a short 30-minute drive. Other close attractions include the Pisgah National Forest and several golf courses.
Just west of Cherokee is Bryson City, home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday. 40 minutes Southeast is Asheville, home to the Biltmore Estate & Winery, several micro-breweries, as well as great restaurants and shopping.
A few minutes further is the quaint town of Hendersonville and home of the Sierra Nevada Brewery (dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting and zip-lining. 1 hour and 15 minutes away is Transylvania County, home of the most waterfalls in the United States, and over 100 Antique Shops.
1 1/2-hour scenic drive to the north, through Great Smoky Mountains National Park, will land you in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood).
