Inside family and friends will enjoy this home’s open living space featuring a floor to ceiling stacked stone gas log fireplace and 65” UHD TV with streaming cable and DVD player. Separate gaming plugs mean you never have to touch the back of the TV. The chef in your group will appreciate the modern kitchen packed full of everything you need to whip up a dazzling dinner. Plus the kitchen opens out to the main living space because in this home, no one puts the chef in the corner! Imagine the great meals and after dinner card games that will in sue over that spacious dining table.
When the day is done everyone will sleep well. Located on the main floor is the primary king bedroom with electric fireplace, flat screen TV and DVD player. The fully tiled primary bath ensuite boasts a walk in multi nozzle shower and has both a toilet and bidet. A queen bedroom and full guest bathroom with jetted tub is across the short hall. The laundry room with full washer and dryer are located adjacent to the guest bath. The upstairs loft bedroom offers twin over full bunkbed with twin pull out trundle as well as a full guest bathroom. For those of you who can’t get away from work, a small office space is located there as well. Trust us, you never had a work view like this! A small sitting area is also in the loft.
Downstairs there is the game room with pool table, board games galore and futon which makes into a full bed. There is also a full bath located here as well. There is room for one vehicle in the adjacent garage which the owner will allow access to. Outside, there is an ample amount of yard space with this property to play in!
Chalet d’Julia really does have it all! A centrally located space with Spectrum cable and high-speed internet, Wi-Fi, Smart TV's in both the living room and master suite, gas fireplace, electric fireplace, gas grill, and everything you came to the mountains to enjoy. Even better? If you pull into the second driveway beside the home, there is a short set of steps to the main deck, making it only a few steps to main floor full living space. Great if you have folks that don’t like to access a lot of stairs!
Please note this property is not pet friendly. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. The access to this home is a paved road with some increasing incline not far off the main road in Maggie Valley. We do experience inclement weather in this region, seasonally, all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive would be recommended for access in winter driving events. This property is ok for motorcycle access but not for trailers.
Chalet d'Julia is just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and only a few miles from golfing. In about 20 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This home is about a 20-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).
A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas.
It is just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
