Two bedrooms have king size beds, one bedroom has a full size futon and a small game table. This cabin is decorated with authentic cabin style furniture to give you a genuine cabin in the mountain experience. There is a great, large deck with rocking chairs to sit and enjoy the view! A large kitchen with all the things you come to expect from a vacation home awaits you there.
Less than a 30 minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In less than 25 minutes you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.This cabin is also is a short 40 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, it has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).
Not even an hour away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 20 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 55 minutes away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are 1 hour 20 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).There is a paved winding road upon approach. The driveway is paved at bottom, gravel at the top, and slightly steep. 4-wheel drive is required in winter, with the possibility of tire chains as well. Additionally, we do experience inclement weather in this region, seasonally, that may limit accessibility.
