This custom-built cabin features a large open floor plan living space with vaulted ceilings and stone gas fireplace surrounded by oversized reclining leather couches complete with a large flat screen TV. The adjacent modern well-appointed kitchen and dining area looks out to that stunning view. A king primary bedroom with its amazing mountain view plus bathroom en-suite and a second bedroom with double bed and additional full bathroom offer plenty of room for everyone. Central heat/AC, Blu-ray DVD player, Smart TVs in each bedroom available to log into your favorite streaming apps, T Mobile High-Speed Internet and Wi-Fi, ample lighting throughout the home, ceiling fans in each bedroom and stackable washer/dryer complete the package. Please note this property is not pet friendly. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. Access to the home is a paved road with increase in incline as you make your way up. Final access is a well-maintained gravel road. During warmer months, front wheel drive vehicles are fine for access, however those unfamiliar with a gravel road might need to drive aggressively or use all-wheel drive for the last portion. Four-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and even snow tires with chains would be required during winter months if there were a snow or ice event. Outdoor security camera on premise.
There is so much to do around this vacation home all year-round. Just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in downtown Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This home is a less than a 30-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).
A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas.
You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
