Not even 45 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 25 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 50 minutes away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are 1 hour 25 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennesse (home of Dollywood).
There is a paved mountain road, upon approach. The driveway is hard packed gravel, and moderately steep. We do experience inclement weather in this region, seasonally, that may limit accessibility; we recommend all-wheel drive for access. 4-wheel drive is required in winter, with the possibility of tire chains as well.
