Appalachian View is a magnificent 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath custom log home perched atop the trees in Waynesville, NC. The views can be seen from almost any room in the house, the deck and balconies are private with longrange mountain views.
The home is decorated with authentic pieces from all over the world and has comfy high quality furnishing. The vaulted ceilings and the wood fireplace gives a feeling of warmth and openness to the great room. The open concept full kitchen and dining area adjoin the great room, and allow for any kind of meal preparation, although there are many excellent restaurants nearby.
The master bedroom is located on the main floor and features a king-sized bed, private bath with a Jacuzzi tub and access to the deck. The two bedrooms upstairs have king beds, private balconies with a view and a reading nook in the hall.

An easy 10-15 minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, as well as Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each season), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In just a quick and convenient 15 minutes you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This home is also a short 30 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble it has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, Asheville and the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday), Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 45 minutes away in Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, ziplining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under an hour to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, (home of Dollywood).
