Welcome to Awesome View Lodge located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina. The name says it all, and this cabin has it all! This property is nestled on 1 ½ acres in Stone Gate Estates and affords breathtaking year-round views.. This mountain get-a-way offers easy access (a short distance is gravel/dirt) whether arriving by car or motorcycle, with gravel on a short but somewhat steep driveway.
The cabin sleeps 6-8. The main level includes one bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom with shower/tub, the master bedroom with king bed and en-suite full bathroom with shower/tub, living room which opens with sliding doors onto the outdoor deck, fully equipped eat-in kitchen, stone floor to ceiling gas fireplace, and laundry room with full-size washer/dryer. There are flat-screen televisions in the living room and each bedroom with cable, and the cabin also offers high speed internet. The lower level includes one bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom with shower/tub, a game room with full size sleeper sofa, dart board, foosball table board games and Legos, and books for all to enjoy. The cabin also offers an attached and fully enclosed two-car garage (especially appealing to those arriving by motorcycle). Gaze upon the mountains while soaking in the 5-person hot tub, grill and have dinner outside while the kiddos play and explore the spacious yard. Do as much or as little as you want – the choices are endless at Awesome View Lodge.
Please note this is a dog friendly property, one medium dog, 35 pounds or less or two small dogs 15 pounds or less are accepted. It is the guest's responsibility to contact the property manager at Maggie Mountain Vacations as there is an additional non-refundable pet fee, not included in the base rent. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. No cats or other types of pets allowed.
If you’re coming for a long weekend to visit the famed Biltmore Estate, it’s only 35 minutes away. If you’re staying in town and exploring Maggie Valley you can visit The Wheels Through Time Transportation Museum or go skiing at Cataloochee Ski Area. If you’re staying for a week (or longer!) to take in the multitude of outdoor activities the area has to offer, this cabin will not disappoint. Located less than 20 minutes to downtown Maggie Valley, less than 25 minutes to downtown Waynesville, and 6 miles to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, this cabin offers location, location, location! Being just minutes away from 1-40 means popular places to visit like the quaint little town of Black Mountain, Lake Lure, Grandfather Mountain, and cruising the legendary Blue Ridge Parkway are just an easy drive away. And after a day full of activity, taking in the relaxing views and fresh mountain air at Awesome View Lodge will help you recharge.
There are mostly paved roads for easy access. However, we do encourage you to utilize a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle during the winter months. Seasonally, we do experience inclement weather in this region, that may limit accessibility.
