Please note: The neighborhood owner's association does not allow trailers to be parked in the driveway. If you are towing a trailer that will not fit in the garage, please call the rental office to inquire about possible alternatives.
Less than a 15 minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In less than 20 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This cabin is a 25 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's Casino has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).
A little more than 40 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 20 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 50 minutes away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-liningand much more in the surrounding areas. You are 1 hour 25 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
The approach to this vacation rental is paved, with a slight to moderate incline. However, it's close to the main road in Maggie Valley. We advise during the Fall and Winter Season (more specifically, during inclement weather) we suggest all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
